How do I change the background color?

You can easily change the background color to your liking.

To change the background color:

  1. Open the Adjust tab (Command-Shift-I)
  2. Make sure no graphic object is selected (Command-D)
  3. Depending on your document you find ...
    • ... a Solid Color panel:
      Solid color panel.

    • ... or a Gradient panel:

    • In case no dedicated background color is applied to your document, do so by switching to the Effects (Command-Shift-E) tab and choose a background you like. Then return to the Adjust tab and change the color as described here.
  4. Click the color well of the color you like to change:

  5. Use the color picker to change the color to your liking.

Tip

You can use the dropping glass on the color picker to pick a color from your document.

When clicked, the cursor changes to a magnification glass. Then move the mouse pointer over the part of your document where you like to sample a color and click the mouse. You can use the Color Picker as usual to fine tune the sampled color.
