How do I make the background transparent?

You can easily export a document with transparent background.

To export a document with transparent background:

  1. Open the Insepector (Command-Shift-I)

  2. Remove all layers from the background by clicking the Trashcan" button on the title bar of each layer panel:

    Remove a layer from an object using the inspector.

    Please note that there are some layers which can't be removed. Like the Page Margin, Page Size or General layer.

  3. Locate the General panel and make sure the Draw Background and Draw on Export options are switched off:

  4. At this point the document background should not be visible any more:

    ...
    ...

  5. Click the Share toolbar button (Command-E) and choose Export to Disk. When Posterino asks you for a filename and format, make sure to choose PNG or TIFF as format (JPG images can't have transparent backgrounds):

  6. Click the Save button to save your export.
